This was very satisfying because the characters actually grind and get stronger. I feel like a lot of times after the first book of a litrpg series the characters aren’t all that powerful and there are mountains of untapped potential. Here they actually get there and it makes the action and pacing fantastic. This is a must read for a LitRPG fan.
The main narrator was just ok. I understand Podehl can’t do them all, but a lot of characters sounded so similar it was hard to tell them apart at times. And his non English accents were pretty bad. Still, I love ensemble narration and it added a layer of depth that made the story very engaging.
