Listened to the story on Audible. Both narrators are great. I especially like the female narrator. Recommend!

This is the 3rd book in this series. Although, each book features a different main couple; I’d recommend starting from the beginning. There’s lots of tie in storylines that really need to be read from the beginning.

This book is about Lizzie; Astasiya’s (the lead in the first book) roommate, and Jason; he’s part of some powerful immortal group that is trying to find out what this evil corporation is up to. He is watching Lizzie because the evil corporation messed with her biology; she’s had something weird done to her. Lizzie is completely in the dark about any of this. Jason moves in next door to Lizzie to be more in her life, they become friends, and then more. Unfortunately, things don’t go smoothly when Lizzie finds out the secrets being kept for her.

I wasn’t a huge fan of either Lizzie or Jason from previous books, but this whole series is totally entertaining! There were moments I liked Lizzie, but she’s just too much of a damsel for me. I wanted her to have more fight, but she’s the type that just gives up. I was really hoping that what she had done to her would be something that made her kick butt, but it leans more to the opposite of that. Also, I didn’t like how she still lets Jason rub up on/touch her when he was just flirting with some other woman. She has no strength against him; I feel like they wouldn’t have an equal relationship. Jason was a manwhore type guy; ménages/orgy type stuff, so total eww, but he is a total sweetie with Lizzie. Loved his protective nature, but not his flirting ways. There’s some good chemistry between them, and some good steam. A touching connection.

Loved getting more of Issac and Astasiya! These two have a tough road ahead of them; I hope they remain true to each other and don’t have to do anything stupid. Still lots of story to tell between these two.
