Great mix of sarcasm, fantasy, rpg, real world references/jokes, and a strong plot. It will have you groaning, laughing, and finding excuses to listen as often as possible. I’ve read several LitRPG’s, and while some are more on the male oriented side, focused on humor, or too serious overall – this one blends everything very well. Both male and female characters are believable, the story has good depth without losing the fact that the player/s had a different life before this game (and they dont just stop thinking about it like some of this genre), etc. There is a bit of self-indulgent male fantasy mixed in (both books), but it’s minimal.
