This was a great fantasy story and revisit to the world with many new characters and some returning favorites. I don’t want to give away any of the plot as there are some mysteries and surprises that I wouldn’t want to ruin. If you liked the first series focusing on Eric, Anala and the Gods you will definitely like this series as well which takes place 100 years after the ending of the original series.
The story is very good and the characters for the most part are really good although some of their actions may really bother you but there are enough really cool moments that you will get over that. The narration by David Stifel is pretty good for the most part my only gripe is with his voices for some of the female characters and the younger characters sound way too young and whiny, they are teenagers but they sound like 7 year olds. Another weird thing not just with the narration but with the writing and dialogue is that Devon seems way older than I think he actually is, he calls everybody ‘Sonny’ even though I think he is actually in his twenties or early 30’s.
Three books for the price of one is a great deal and the story is definitely worth it.
