If the author did not include unnecessary violent and gory sexual behavior. The story would not suffer if he stuck to lighter humor.
Other than that the story is extremely unique and from a completely unexpected perspective. As a gamer I would say this book is on my top list (minus the things i mentioned first, they ruined the story line for me personally).
