every thing I love about this series cranked up to 11 to make this probobly my favorite dungeon lord/dark lord style series now. the main character’s philosophy and struggles with the faustian gambit he got himself into are on point with out ever seeming whiney. He has a believable amount of struggle, he shows his huge character growth throughout the series in every situation in this book.

the different shades of bad guy become apparent throughout the novel, I could write an ethics paper on the shades of villiany in this book and how it shows that no one set of ideals can be correct in every situation and we have to keep trying to figure out the right thing to do in any situation.

on a side note if you are interested in situational ethical philosophy I recommend the ethics of ambiguity by Simone de Beauvoir, she was by far my favorite philosopher when I Took ethics in university.
