I love the fairly unique approach, and story that follows game life from a monsters perspective. Though I feel there’s a little more of an MMO influence to this storyline, there’s more than enough reference to “pen and paper” to appease both sides of the gaming house. There’s a couple short sections that I believe we’re given too much detail. I don’t typically shy away from “adult situations,” but I feel they unnecessarily distracted me from the story. Fortunately, they were fairly brief relative to the entire story, and I’m glad I gave this book a chance. I’ve actually listen to the following two books already. Book four was recently released, and I’m considering cutting short the current series that I’m listening to, just to get back to this storyline.
