Not quite as bad as some reviews say.

The latest installment of the series is not that bad. The story doesn’t take place in Goblin’s Gorge where the other stories take place. It branches out and we get a few new people joining the clan by the end of the story.

There are hints in the last bit of the story which leads the listener (those who listen all the way to the end anyway) to know there is at least one more story. Or even quicker is to check the author’s page which shows he’s working on the next book.

We get to know several other characters a little better in this installment instead of concentrating on one or two which the previous books concentrated on. IMO, this helps to bring the NPC and Players “to life”.

The only issue I, personally, have with the story is the unnecessary sound effects and music. I find it detracting and draws me out of the story with the jarring sounds coming from nowhere.
