This book keeps up with the quality of the series to date. The main focus on this one seems to be action-oriented. We go through plenty of fights and are always learning more about the fascinating and unique magic system. The story of our main characters doesn’t seem to progress all that much, but we do start to see more of the bigger story unfolding. If you have enjoyed the series thus far, you should enjoy this as well. If you are new to the series, this is not a good starting point.

Narration is well done, with good production. It is very much in line with narration of the previous book. The performance may not particularly stand out, but is does a good job of not pulling your attention from the story.
