Overall it’s a huge pump the breaks on the series thus far. I’ve been listening to them back to back and while interesting this one doesn’t go very far on it’s own. No idea what the next book is about and this one felt like it was stretched out a lot to setup the next book. We do get to see Cal take a breath on all that’s happened to him especially after the emotional rollercoaster he was on though. (no spoilers just in case) It’s not bad. Just don’t see myself replaying this one in the future. It does have some cool settings but like I stated it seems like the idea for half of a book got stretched into a full one.
TOP NOTCH PERFORMANCE though. Phil thorn never disappoints!
