As stated, the storyline was good – good enough for us to suffer through the abysmal performance. A less than flawless transition from Highland Brog to Jamaican to Southern Gentleman and a few broken steps between, all in one conversation – and ALL supposed to be the same person’s voice, was a true test of the strength of the storyline. That’s not even mentioning the overplayed inflections which made the author’s wording come across as “trying too hard”. Once you force past the narrator’s failings, it is actually worth listening to.
