Bought this one on sale due to length and some good reviews. Listen to the critical reviews. The idea for the story is OK, but the author needed to flesh it out more before beginning to write it. The two worlds concept is poorly introduced and poorly implemented. The reader has to infer far too much at the beginning with hardly anything to explain what is going on. Very confusing. Characters are thin and completely unmotivated. After a while, I began to regret the amount of time I was going to have to devote to this book. Ultimately, I decided to return it. I got as far as the Assassin convincing the the Ogres to switch sides. It was an abrupt and not believable conversation. That was pretty much the end of it for me. I wanted to like this book, but it wasn’t to be.
