I’ve loved this series since I first stumbled across the podcasts of Quarter Share over a decade ago, and have listened to it many times. When Owner’s Share ended I felt lost, wondering WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? I’m so glad the author decided to continue Ishmael’s story, bringing back some old friends along the way. I will say, though, that I miss Nathan Lowell’s narration. His narration makes Ishmael sound calm and thoughtful with a somewhat self-deprecating sense of humor – the type of person I would like to be if I grow up, and definitely the type of boss I would like to have – and be. Besides mispronouncing words, this narrator makes Ishmael sound like a noir detective with a snarky sense of humor. So bottom line: the story is great, the narrator not so much. Is it possible to have Nathan Lowell go back to narrating his own books? I’d much rather listen to the podcasts – ads and all (and did I mention I LOVE the music he used in the podcasts?) – with Nathan Lowell narrating than listen to this narrator butcher the sense of Ishmael Wang’s character.
