I enjoyed the first book in the Space Team series so I immediately bought the second on finishing it. I read before bed and the first was a lighthearted space romp, which was perfect for that. The second one has the same characters but the tone is different. I haven’t even finished and there have been multiple torture scenes. Not the light bedtime reading I was expecting after the first book. I don’t think I will make myself finish this one. If you don’t mind dark stuff along with your humor, you might like it but it wasn’t for me. Just don’t expect it to be like book 1. The narrator was still great and is, in fact, how I found this series and the main reason I tried it.
