WOW!!! This was my first book from Leaona Luxx and I was completely blown away. This story is a second chance love story that is just so much more. Chord and Sarah met as young children and forged a close friendship that would grow to be so much more…until the day Sarah leaves unexpectedly when they are teenagers, ultimately demolishing their plans for their happily ever after. Several years later they run into each other when neither expects it, bringing about a host of varied emotions from both people as they figure out what this means for the future.
This is a deeply touching and emotional story about family, and life and love and loss and second chances. I was truly inspired by the amount of love and support shown at every point throughout this book by Chord’s family. I loved how invested Chord was in Sarah and her happiness and ensuring she felt loved and safe. This book requires some serious tissues so make sure you have them handy. I was invested and engaged in this story and these characters from the start and enjoyed every emotional moment of the journey. I cannot wait to read more from this author.
This was my first audiobook by Sarah Puckett and Jarman Day and I was highly impressed. For such an emotional book, they did an incredible job. I felt every emotion of the book through their words. I would love to listen to more of their work. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
