R.E. McDermott has earned a place among authors such as Tolkien and Rowling. His book has sparked my interest in this genre of stories. His characters are well developed, the story telling is paced at a reasonable pace that allows for just enough detail without being overbearing, and his facts and plausibility are both unparalleled. This series has forever earned a permanent place in my library. I might purchase a hard copy as well just to display in my living room because this series deserves it!
