Every character had such weight to them, detailed problems, passions, prowess and shortcomings, as a huge fan of Firefly I was extremely pleased, more so when I found out that’s a big inspiration for Morin. Funny that while his magic system seemed to start as a way to get around funky pseudo-science it because easily one of the most well written magic systems I’ve ever seen. Fantastical, but grounded as well, almost limitless freedom but with hard rules to get there. Narrator is top notch, which an INCREDIBLE voice range and a clear enthusiasm for the story and characters and confirmed such in his note at the end. loved it, and I can’t wait to get into the other Black Ocean series. Mad props and admiration to the author, I would watch this show if it ever became one and stayed true to the material. Dive in and you won’t be dissapointed.
