This book was pretty dry for me overall. It took about 6 hours to even become interesting. Then it waned between interesting and taxing throughout the book. The story is okay, but seems soulless. The main character who is supposed to be an expert player, struggles with the most basic of things. The story has numerous situations in which something has to happen to push the story forward and it seems contrived.
The performance was also not great. There are a number of annoying voices, especially Vick. When Vick showed up in the story I almost stopped listening. I hoped the performance would get butter, but apparently Jeff Hays is just not a voice I can enjoy.
