Arden St. Ives is my favorite character in all M/M fiction, but I can’t separate the character created by Alexis Hall and Joel Leslie’s performance of him. I’ve listened to the series twice, and I think the third book is flawed as Arden wanders through sexual escapades that, without Caspian, are less interesting than his sexually and emotionally charged interludes with the billionaire. The book is funny, entertaining, and endearing even when it is outrageous and wanton, coquettish, and slutty, to draw from the previous book in the series, because Arden is all those things. I’ve since listened to about a dozen Joel Leslie books since listening to this one, and as long as he’s doing an English accent, I could listen to him read the obituaries . . . for hours.
