I really don’t know what to say other than the title. Though not written simply, I was able to keep the facts straight – and there are many facts given. The individuals were described with depth and fullness, the cases laid out clearly. And although I originally thought the narrator’s voice sounded tired, it actually matches the solemnity of the subject. It’s a gravelly sort of voice that sounds of one who’s seen enough of the underbelly of humanity to age anyone well beyond their years yet will not give into despair.
