I really loved this series, when I read post-apocalyptic I don’t want to know the rules, the author has to guide me to suspend my reality, the authors did that brilliantly. I can listen to each of the books, over and over and hear something new. The author did well in getting me to know the unique personalities of the characters, even though there are many of them. Kevin Pierce (narrator) made the difference too, he seemed to enjoy the book, that he really “got into” it. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because there were too few description of “the cart”, the description is vague, the camps are not well described, scenes of camp life, what did Seren learn and see on her stops. I was also pleased at the chapters start and stops, it made it easy for me to find my favs and just focus on them. I have sense purchased the eBooks on Kindle (Book 5 not yet on Audible, when it becomes available I will select it). While different story lines, I put this series at the level of “The Road”, “Earth Abides” and “After It Happened”
