I found the first of the two books fun and I don’t normally post reviews.
Spoilers:
When Boxxy raped Fizzy I felt sick, it felt so unnecessary and it flattened the compassion that was built for Boxxy. As soon as this happened I finished the book to see if there was any way to save this, there was not. I get that this series rides the edge on morality, I accepted that from the get go. However, accepting the difference between what has been happening to the demons who were enjoying things and flat out unwanted rape of Fizzy. No matter what is written in this series in the future I refuse to read/listen to it.
Call it my line in the sand.
I am still a fan of Jeff Hays and the entire soundbooth staff’s work, even if the material isn’t what I enjoy.
