A truly promising start to this paranormal series! “Once Bitten” introduces us to Alexa, a badass werewolf huntress with magical powers. Her life quickly becomes tangled with a string of mysterious deaths involving an old friend, as well as a complicated connection to a vampire and a budding relationship with a werewolf (possible future love triangle?). I was fully engaged from the start, and the twists and turns added action and suspense. The author weaved in many intriguing storylines that we are only beginning to discover about Alexa, her powers, and what comes next for these characters in this fascinating world. The narration by Sarah Puckett was spot on! Sarah always has a great range of voices and with such a large cast of characters, it was easy to follow and the consistency was perfect throughout.
