Basic run-of-the-mill plot and writing.

I have read most titles of my favorite authors in this genre and was searching for a new author. I tried this book as the first in a large series. I was disappointed in the plot, characterization, and writing skills displayed. Simply put it is a run-of-the-mill CIA/FBI chase, double cross, etc. with another super-assassin being misunderstood by all pariies and finally saving the day and if not the world, then just NYC and Washington, D.C.
