The premise – a burnt out reporter‘s wife unleashes mayhem working for a evil corporation and he, along with one of the original victims and a co-conspirators, try to put the genie’s back in the bottles.

The story is relatively straight forward and plays out a lot like a midnight “B” Godzilla movie. Fitting as the ‘monsters’ are frequently referred to as Kaiju. The books characters evolve little and the ending is not a surprise.

Overall a lightweight standalone sci-fi fantasy, with competent narration. I would give it a ‘meh’.
