The book wasn’t all bad but at around 1 hour left in the book it took a huge nose dive.

***spoiler***

I didn’t like Jason vs Thorn act, for me it took a lot away from Jason, the idea of making him a trash melee fighter was beyond me. I don’t know why the author decided to go away from the evil mastermind idea for Jason, who used his brains, tactics and cunning to out play his enemies for a weak fighter who had to literally luck out and use a McGuffin to beat Thorn.
But what really killed the book for was Alex’s escape sure it was all good until he stole the gate piece. That was beyond stupid, the idea that Jason and crew would leave something that literally is the most important item in the game, anywhere were it could even be seen by another player, let alone stolen is insulting to the reader/listener, a plan slap in the face.
That chapter has really put into question if I even want to read/listen to anymore of this series.
