I found it difficult to keep the many characters straight, but enjoyed the whole trilogy completely. In just days, half of humanity loses its civilization, reverting to our basest, most horrible possible selves. The other half maintain themselves and seek to protect and defend.
The story tells of varied groups of people and their struggles after the loss of all power across the USA. Their losses and successes are realistic and very very human. Gotta love those Cajuns.
Kevin Pierce has a great voice, but not all the characters are distinguishably different. Nevertheless, it was pleasant to listen to, and captivating to “read.”
