rant and spoiler warning.
the problem with coming of age tales is that eventually you want the MC to you know . . .come of age.
after being maimed because of his mentor and adopted family he meekly rolls over and accepts that is was necessary?! still?! despite there being about 100 ways it could have been avoided. this is bloody book 4 and he is still a trusting meek minion. infuriating
