I think I used up quite a few tissues for the whole last third of the book.
It was able to bring so much emotion from me first for Everly, then her
brother Toby, to a small degree even Jay. Much later in the book I felt
a little sympathy for all the others with the last being her father. He
could not have been so blind to what was happening to his own child. But you know how forgiving children are to their parents. There was one man that was held accountable that seemed to be without remorse and I think he should have had some consequence for the way he had behaved. Everyone else was out in the open, he was vulgar and did his taunting when no one was around. So I think he deserves a special
place in hell burning on a spit that rotates constantly 24/7.
