This book, in my opinion, had several weaknesses in the development. It was difficult to start enjoying because the story had a slow start.
I did not like the way the author developed the lead character (Daniel West)! He is childish, self-occupied, and then focuses on a love interest, which was totally inappropriate, given that it interferes with his judgment, which subsequently leads to self-incrimination! I would have preferred a stronger lead character, one who didn’t whine about the events happening!
Concerning the narrator: I did not like the way Andrew had a pausing, kind of jerky, presentation in his narration. It was distracting for me!
