Funny. In a good way.

I’m sorry… Is there a fourth wall?
How can a room not have 4 walls?
Round rooms only have one? Huh. OK. Well… This book mostly has 4. But there are times where it vanishes.
The criticism of the author by the characters is great.
The humor is light – and – despite the easy pickings of the aliens’ appearance, mostly more mature and thoughtful.

This, in opposition to the humor in the Pell series (kill the farm boy, and no country for old gnomes) which is juvenile and had me wincing more than laughing.

So yes. This is a great book. Ish. Since it’s paglless. And recorded. And… Well.. Fine. Story. It a great story with good performances by the narrators.
