As someone who wants to know the monsters intentions. Kaiju or otherwise I came into this one thinking it won’t be as good as I hope. Huge monsters on screen barely keep my attention but Jeremy Robinson, one of my favorite authors wrote it. That alone got me to at least check it out and I am glad I did. Read ‘Island 731’ because it was written by Jeremy Robinson. Once I read that I decided to give the series a try, including giant monsters. I am a history buff when it comes to what unit 731 did during WW2 so that got me here, wondering how unit 731 and. Biggest gripe is the ending left me wanting more and rushed character development. Wish the narrator was someone who could do voices like Ray Porter.

Also, where is anyone from the island?

(Minor spoilers ahead)

Reality was it was went a cheap B movie from the 60s or 70s, something you would see on Svengoolie. The hero who is laid back and doesn’t take himself to seriously. Is a man of action for the DHS that somehow got landed the interesting job of looking for bigfoot and feeling like his talents are wasted.

You’re thinking what I was thinking when I learned that.

It wasn’t until the creation of the creature that it really had my attention. Not even the bear did a good job at it.

From here rushed development with a woman police officer who is better fit for the action than our hero. There is good action from this point, realistic and otherwise.

Helicopter pilot, also rushed development. Real bad when you consider he would have access to the worlds best because they are going to take him seriously from now on.

Motivation of the creature kept you guessing a little over time. Good job of describing what Nemesis wants through descriptions of feeling and the human part of her Moho, taking some control over the alien or God.

Monkey wrench is the general. He is a bigger bad guy than nemesis for reasons I won’t mention because they are spoilers. I hope the sequel is as good.

The ending wants you craving more and I can’t wait until my next credit.

Good action and story that pays off even if you’re not a “fan of monster beating the hell out of buildings and military” as long as you stick around. Just wish an actor who did good voices would’ve been better. Ray Porter would’ve killed it.

Kinda wanting to give narration a better grade.

Also, where is everyone from the Island 731?
