There is a lot of garbage in the LitRPG genre and this entry is no exception. This is one of those books where it is made very obvious that the author has either never played a game before or just doesn’t understand how they work on a fundamental level. Quite possibly both.

The characters are bland and alternately annoying or unbelievably cringe inducing. Normally I’d say Sound booth Theatre is a redeeming quality for a book. In this case not at all. The readers were fine, but good lord the sound effects. Constant, intrusive sound effects.

Having read some of the author’s other works I figured I’d give them another chance. What a miserable mistake that was.
