Alex pretty much had easy mode for the past three books. easy escape easily gets the gate piece. Followed that up with his cringey romance and then Jason’s cringey romance and his millionth vow of acting as if he’s going to not fall into the same formula. Struggle every battle, have a brain blast, barely win. The training and Thorn plot was filler because in the end Jason loses all the shit he won anyway. 20 hours of nothing. no conclusion. teenage angst and cringey characters. This series is really overrated. Dropping.
