Matthew Siege is a good author. His debut novel, Headshot, was brilliant. The best LitRPG story I’ve ever read and and one of exactly two LitRPG series I can say is genuinely good instead of a guilty pleasure or entertaining in a dumb way.

The Save Point series disturbs me because is dumb. Really dumb, even given the genre. Entertaining, but dumb. You might think that the author decided to adopt the maxim that stupid sells, but he’s so enthusiastic about it that I don’t think that’s true. Which implies that not only is he capable of writing incredibly good and incredibly stupid stories but that he may not be able to tell the difference.

Obviously, I recommend it.
