The book was very well written. The author was good with visual descriptions and brought out the personalities of the characters. I didn’t connect with them, but I understood them. The story flowed well and there were no lulls at all.

There are biblical references, and the author makes sure that the reader knows the lead character is a Christian. It’s not enough to be annoying, but it’s there. There is also mention of someone proudly wearing a Trump MAGA shirt, which got an eye-roll from me.

My only beef was the female lead. She’s dead weight and she’d be the first person I’d ditch in an apocalypse. What she did to get away from the bad guys…it just makes her a bad person in general. She’s not the type of person you risk everything for.

Narration was well done. I’d be pleased to hear more books read by him.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
