This is one of the best starts to an audio-enhanced series. The entire story is told with sound effects in the background, which reminds me of the audio podcast, We’re Alive… freaking awesome.
This story ramps up the adrenaline and doesn’t slow down… I am pumped.
The main character is dying and has nothing to lose so he finally steps up and starts taking risks in a new VR game designed for various alien races to battle each other and resolve conflicts. Along the way, he joins forces with some pretty badass characters with insane abilities and becomes their de facto leader.
The narrators do an amazing job with all of the characters in the book and the sound effects (SFX) add to the storytelling.
The only thing I’m not liking is that the other books are not available to listen to yet.
