Loved the story and the characters, even if a little cliche. The addition of magic to space travel was a little weird at first but once I got used to te idea was actually the best part of the series. All space operas use “magical technology” that can’t be explained, so this actually winds up making more sense than most. These books are better than Firefly, which they were sort of based off of. Even though I’m American, I usually don’t like hearing American narrators after getting used to the British accents on so many UK space opera books but Mikael Naramore’s character voices are amazing and I will definitely be looking for more books narrated by him.
