L A Cotton has written a powerful book about realistic situations that seniors in high school could face. Hailee has long endured the hatred and the mean bullying pranks of her soon to be step brother. While Jason hides a secret that has crushed him and will hurt her. She has always fought back but these pranks may be getting out of hand. Cameron has wanted Hailee since he first laid eyes on her but Jason is his long time friend so he chooses to follow Jason. The chemistry between Hailee and Cameron is so hot. Will these two grow up or grow apart? Cameron also keeps a heart-wrenching secret from everyone including his football family. This story has so many twists and turns in it. I felt one of the incidents should have been reported to the police.
Sarah and Wen give a superb narration performance. They portray the emotions of these characters. This is a very emotional tale for the characters and also the readers. Sarah and Wen really bring these characters to life and this life is filled with a lot of turmoil.
I asked to receive this Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. I highly recommend this Audible book. It will pull you in and make you want to know what will happen next. Several of these teens have excess baggage that no teenager should have to carry. This story will have the reader experiencing a multitude of emotions.
