As always, I have to state that this book was given to me for free in exchange for a review.

I always like to state that this does not impact my review or my opinion of the book. My reviews are honest and my own opinion of the story, performance, and overall thoughts on the book.

All in all, though, the author does create a decent protagonist and a few believable supporting characters, although their sudden mood swings are a bit dramatic, and the damsel in distress theme is really done to death, here, although he mercifully didn’t toss in a steaming heap of gratuitous sex. I might eventually go on to volume five (If he wrote the whole thing as a single novel, I would have read it straight through, to be honest, simply to see what happened), but I’m going to get off the train for now.
