The writing is too mild mannered and clean for me. Everyone sounds so “nice/boring” and the characters have no personalities. I blame a lot on the narration.
I like my end of the world, post apocalyptic, zombie books to be gritty and real….this definitely was not. I’m surprised at all the positive reviews.
Also worth noting this is a Christian book
