I was sucked into this book series by a review that described it as, “The crew of the Mellinum Falcon in the Firefly Universe, but with wizards”. Not entirely accurate, but close enough that it was exciting from start to finish. The outlaw hero is a fun story, but the depth you find in all the characters is what drives you from mins to hours of listening. By the end, there are definitely some stories that could be their own future book and I look forward to this author’s next adventure into the Black Ocean.
