Another, bad is good, good is bad, subvert expectations, here’s-a-list-of-woke-ideas-that-should-be-reality-so-i’m-going-to-pretend-they-are-and-ruin-my-story story.. There are far too many of these books and this is just another trope-fest. The bad guys have no substance, they’re straw men, which makes the struggles of the protagonist silly and contrived. The plot was so predictable that I skipped large portions of the book and had no problems following the story.
Was hoping for more. I think Ms. Price might become a good story teller, but I hope she gets out and meets people that really think differently than her usual crowd, or read some books from philosophical traditions that aren’t so popular these days.
