This is a wonderful story with complex, realistic characters that you can’t help but root for. I really appreciated the true-to-life depiction of alcoholism. The disease is not something most people can just decide to walk away from. It is a decision they make every day, over and over, even though they hate what they perceive as their weakness, and even though it hurts those they love. As painful as it was, I appreciated Tyson’s failures. It made him more real and human. Alex’s reactions were also very realistic as he tried to decide whether to hold on or cut and run, especially as he dealt with his own problems at the same time. Tyson’s boss and co-workers were absolutely fantastic in their support. Loved the story and how it worked out. I look forward to more in this series.

The narration is great, and Mr. Jay did an excellent job voicing the emotions of the characters and providing unique voices to help the listener tell everyone apart.
