This fourth book in the Rise of the Arkansas Werewolves series started out very exciting, full of suspense and action. I must say I didn’t connect with the hero in this one as much as I did in the previous books. He was just too arrogant and angry for my liking. One of his redeeming qualities however was the sweet way he treated Skylar and Sophia. I also found it frustrating that it took him so long to look for a cure for the cause of his uncontrollable shifts. Having said all this though the story was enjoyable and suspenseful and definitely worth listening to. Of course granny made her appearance to add some laughs and it was nice to hear about some of the other characters from previous books. Jeffery Kafer once again does an extraordinary job with the narration making listening to the story an extra enjoyable experience. Though I received a free copy of this audiobook I am providing an unbiased review.
