This is a hidden gem every sci-fi/fantasy fan should read. For me, it’s Douglas Adams meets Terry Pratchett in a peerless audio performance. I would pay a substantial sum for a print version of this work. The writing, the worlds, and the rules of the universe are brilliant, well-rounded, often hilarious—and the misfit cast of outlaws is the best company you could ask for. Now that I’ve finished the series, I’m a bit crushed that they won’t be sending me into (hopefully) silent, crying hysterics until my next listen through.
Took me a about a month to finish this series (which I originally bought because I thought it was a great deal in terms of listening time to cost). I couldn’t be more pleased I took a chance on this series despite scant reviews. Highly recommended.
