This story was well done. It brought together a lot of what I feel it would be like to have an zombie apocalypse happen but at the same time not happen as it was a limited spread of the zombies without the hardcore military point of view only that a lot of stories use. In particular I liked the idea of having zombies that still retained some of their intellect and could direct others as a plot point, I just wish there was more of that that happened in the book. I am looking forward to next book in the series and would recommend it to other fans of the genre.
