I can not say how much I liked this series… up until the last book

Great Story, Well Developed Characters, just fun
Book 2
Like book one, great story, deepening of characters and the plot continues.
Book 3
How do I say this, story changed direction, and then ended horrible, if felt like the author just gave up and well and nothing….
the book plodded along, then just gave up and ended. really disappointing. the Unhappy ending made me feel like I had just wasted almost 60 hours of my life listing.
