it’s fun, but it doesn’t really go anywhere. kind of a standard litrpg setup, but with a female protag and no harem. the writing is good and the setting is different from the standard since it’s set in a jungle and Devon can leave the game whenever she wants. there’s some setup for a later book with a demoness player(?) who I suspect will be one of Devon’s friends, but psychologically broken by the game. Rather than explore the world, Devon has turned the mmo she’s in into a bit of Sim game and is building up a town throughout the book. Annie delivers an excellent performance as does Jeff, but that’s expected from them.
