The Performance
The narrators did I nice job with the character voices. My only criticism is it sounded closer to a series documentary than a fantasy story.
The Story
This is almost completely separate from the first book, almost like it’s a new series with some crossover characters. That being said the book was over and it didn’t feel like it anything had really happened. The story kept me going but just kind of wandered around. I kept waiting for something to really hook me but it’s just an average story. I don’t regret listening to it. it may have been a little too slow had I been reading it. all in all it’s not going to make my top 10 list but it’s a solid book.
